A great match last night between Ballou and GV.  The Bruins ended up winning 42-43.  Wins came from:  Cody Van Daam, Zach Smallwood, also known as Race Car, Evan Cross, Carlos Gomez, Asher Ogden, Christian Elery.

Enjoy the break and see ya next year.

The January 20th  deadline to submit your bookmarks is fast approaching.  There are submission forms in the library.  The winner at each grade level gets a $15.00 Barnes and Noble gift card and the runner-up at each grade level gets a $10.00 Barnes and Noble gift card.  Also, winning bookmarks get printed in color and distributed to students who check out books from the library.  For those who don’t know, Barnes and Noble is a bookstore in Lakewood!  See you in the library!

ERHS Gymnastics won their meet on Wednesday, beating Rogers, Timberline and Bonney Lake with a score of 171.85 points.  Our own GV students, Sierra Rowe and McKenna Kipp helped lead the team to this great win.  Sierra placed 7th of vault and 9th on bars, while McKenna placed 5th on vault, 2nd on bars, 4th on beam, 4th on floor and took 2nd place in the all around with 35 points.  If you see these girls today, give them a congratulations!!

Your Varsity Avalanche basketball team traveled to Ballou yesterday and lost to a very talented Bruin team. Leading the way  offensively was Chantilly Pene and Bella Kamenzind with 5 points each. Elise Mulcahey and Jordan Saye also contributed in the scoring column. Aubrey Taylor and Tori Nuse had great games on the defensive end.

The Avalanche 7th graders fought hard against the other undefeated team in the league, holding them to only 13 points in the first half. With only 7 players suiting up, Ballou proved too much as the Avalanche tired in the second half. Izzy led the Avalanche with 9 points and Ella chipped in 5 of her own. At the halfway point of the season, the 7th graders are 4-1.

Enjoy your break girls.
