Grade 8 Integrated Science 11

Integrated Science II is a course that uses an inquiry based learning approach to study the topics of life, earth, and physical science. The course covers topics including the categorization of plants and animals according to how they accomplish life processes, cell structure and function, the genetic basis of inheritance, and the ecological relationships between organisms and their surroundings, speed, acceleration, forces, moon phases and seasons. Through research, hands-on activities, and reflection, students develop laboratory and critical thinking skills. Students demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and application of related state standards in science.
